The Eden on the Bay frame, the third in a series being introduced across the city to celebrate Table Mountain being named one of the New7Wonders of Nature, provides an idyllic vantage point for visitors to photograph friends, family … and pets, with the mountain as a spectacular backdrop.
Table Mountain and Word Design Capital Cape Town 2014 was featured on Carte Blanche recently. Our bright yellow frames, designed by artist Porky Hefer, comprise one of the 450 World Design Capital Cape Town 2014 projects.

It’s a World Design Capital Project, and a celebration of Table Mountain’s status as one of the New7Wonders of Nature – it’s also just a fun way of taking a great photo during your time in Cape Town.
There are less than 10 days to enter the Wonder Love competition – you could be enjoying a beautiful sunset on Table Mountain; exploring the jungles of the Amazon; cruising the turquoise waters of Halong Bay; hearing the powerful roar of the Iguazu Falls; venturing into the lava-tube caves on Jeju Island; coming face to face with a Komodo dragon in Komodo, Indonesia; or paddling deep underground on the Puerto Princesa Underground River.
The New7Wonders Foundation has launched the WonderLove initiative, an international promotion offering couples the chance to win one of seven all-inclusive trips to their favourite of the New7Wonders of Nature sites – departing from anywhere on the planet. The competition is open to everyone, and the winners will be announced on Valentine’s Day, 14 February 2014.
A giant yellow picture frame, the second in a series of temporary frames to be introduced across the city, has been unveiled on Signal Hill, providing an idyllic vantage point for visitors to compose a photograph of themselves, friends and family with Table Mountain as the spectacular backdrop.

Cape Town Mayor Patricia de Lille unveiled a large picture frame, which provides an iconic view of one of nature’s New 7 Wonders, Table Mountain from the V&A Waterfront, to mark World Tourism Day and in the build up to World Design Capital 2014.
