Halle Berry on Table Mountain!
Happy Women’s Day to all our fantastic female friends. We hope you’re having a fabulous day so far, and that you’re spoilt rotten by your loved ones. In celebration of your special day, we thought we’d share this picture of Halle Berry – yes, the very same Oscar-winning Halle Berry who has appeared in numerous blockbusters including X-Men, Monster’s Ball and Things We Lost in the Fire.
Ms Berry is in Cape Town until September to film the movie Dark Tide. She’s been spotted all over town and, of course, here on Table Mountain. Even though celebrities visit us all the time – like Neyo and Forest Whitaker – we still can’t help but be starstruck when a Hollywood beauty graces us with her presence.
Halle – intelligent, down to earth and drop-dead gorgeous – is a great ambassador for the female gender and we salute her and other beautiful women, like you, today.
Here at Table Mountain Cableway we have decided to dedicate the entire month to all the wonderful women in our lives: mothers, daughters, grandmothers, sisters, wives, friends, girlfriends, bosses, co-workers ... They all deserve a special thank you (not just this month, come to think of it, but every day).
In celebration of Women’s Month, we have put together a Women’s Month Breakfast at Table Mountain Café. The hot buffet breakfast, where you pay R11 per 100g, comes with a glass of fruit juice ... on us! This special offer will be valid during every day of August.
The hot buffet menu includes delicious Spanish omelettes, boerewors, savoury breakfast mince, herbed mushrooms, grilled tomatoes, baked beans, chicken chipolatas, French toast, Danish pastries, croissants, Bulgarian yoghurt, fruit salad, sliced fruit, smoked salmon and plenty more tasty morsels to suit every taste and dietary requirement.
And just because the school holidays are over doesn’t mean the fun is stopping! Our winter family special – where two kids under 18 years ride for free when accompanied by a full-paying adult over weekends and on public holidays – is still valid and there are lots of fun activities for the kids, like treasure trails and prizes, on the summit.
