The Class in the Clouds promotion has been created by the Table Mountain Aerial Cableway Company to share the wonders of Table Mountain with learners throughout South Africa.

Now it's possible to explore this extraordinary destination with your learners in a unique school outing. Take them out of the classroom to a place packed with educational opportunities - and fun! Discover a fascinating array of fauna and flora- approximately 1470 species of plants live naturally on Table Mountain alone - that's more than the entire British Isles! Since the opening of the cableway 75 years ago, over 16 million people have taken the trip to the top.

Table Mountain Cableway's Class in the Clouds project started in 2001 and to date over 100 000 learners have made use of this offer. The Class in the Clouds promotion is particularly suited to school outings themed around Travel and Tourism, Geography or the Environmental Sciences.

A work book is available both online and by post that provides educators with worksheets that can be used for this outing. Additionally a teacher assistant is available to guide the educator and learners on the day of the outing.

Promotion dates excludes weekends and public holidays, but includes school holidays.
