The International Association for Impact Assessment, South Africa, (IAIAsa) presented their awards at their annual conference in August, held at Thaba’Nchu, in the Free State. The Cableway sponsors a cash prize for the Best "Young Person"” Paper Award.

Table Mountain Cableway will be closed for annual maintenance from 25th July 2005 until 7th August 2005. The Cableway will re-open for business, weather permitting, at 08h30 on Monday 8th August 2005.
