Children will have a ball in the new Dassie Den in the Bistro at the top of Table Mountain from Saturday December 1 this year until Thursday January 31 next year. The play area is open daily from 9am until 5pm.

Cableway's visitors. On Friday 13 July the Cableway welcomed its 18
millionth visitor to the mountain.

Table Mountain Aerial Cableway Company is offering a spectacular winter special to all South African families - two children under 18 years get a free return trip if accompanied by a full paying adult from May 1 to September 15, 2007.
"The Cableway Family Special is a wonderful opportunity for parents to show their children the uniqueness of Table Mountain. Children love the gondola ride and are fascinated to see Cape Town from a different angle once on top," says Sabine Lehmann, CEO of Table Mountain Aerial Cableway.
Explore the winding contour paths where you can spot the elusive dassies; pack a delicious winter picnic; or simply sit and relax while you experience the stunning 360-degree view of the mother city.
The Cableway Family Special is valid everyday from Tuesday May 1 to Saturday September 15, 2007. Ticket prices: adult return R120, includes two children under 18 years travelling free (normal child rate R65). Valid on return fares only.
