We answer your "what are one-way and return cable car tickets?" question.

The week in our ongoing #AsktheCableway blog series, we answer your all-important question, “What are one-way and return cable car tickets?”

The answer is really quite simple.

In the same way that other modes of transportation, namely airplanes, trains and busses, work, so too does the Cableway.

We break it down for you:

One-way tickets:

- This is a ticket for a cable car ride either up or down the mountain. This means that you are choosing to hike up the mountain and ride back down, or ride up and hike back down. This ticket is recommended for experienced hikers and is available for purchasing online or at our Ticket Office and WiFi Lounge.

Return tickets:

- This ticket entitles you to take the cable car up and down. That means you board the cable car to go up the mountain, enjoy our facilities and the views, and then use the same ticket to come back down in the cable car. This ticket is available for purchasing online or at our Ticket Office on arrival at the Cableway.

Please remember that the Cableway’s operations are weather dependent. You can check on our operational status and weather conditions on our homepage, by calling our weather line at +27(0)21 424 8181 or following us on Twitter and Facebook.

We cannot wait to see you!
