Jive Cape Town Funny Festival Fun atop Table Mountain

The Jive Cape Town Funny Festival performers were treated to a special breakfast at the summit of Table Mountain on Tuesday, 17 July 2018!

The Table Mountain Cableway welcomed 2018 Jive Funny Festival performers Marc Lottering, Gerry Conolly, Ntobeka Ximba, Raymond Raymondson, Tats Nkonzo and Mooky Cornish to the mountain on Tuesday, 17 July 2018.

“As one of the sponsors of the event, we are thrilled to be associated with this year’s Funny Festival,” says Cableway MD Wahida Parker. “This year is all about inviting locals in the audience to become tourists in their own city. We are excited to have this opportunity to reach out and engage with our local community, and look forward to seeing everyone at the festival and welcoming them to our iconic attraction.”

Mark Lottering Tweeted: “T’was a day for getting high, thank you Table Mountain Cableway.”

The Cableway is a partner of the Cape Town Big 7 who captured the Funny Festival performers' visit on camera:

The festival, held at the Baxter Theatre from Monday, 9 July until Sunday, 5 August 2018, also includes acts from Alan Committee, Rob Van Vuuren, Siv Ngesi, Khanyisa Bunu, Goronwy Thom and Richard Garaghty.
