Miss Israel 2011 hopefuls on Table Mountain: Votes cast for New7Wonders of Nature
A bevy of Israeli beauties made it to the summit of Table Mountain on Tuesday, January 26, as part of a journey to South Africa.
Usually, the 20 Miss Israel contestants would holiday in the Middle East but this year organisers decided to bring them to South Africa because the 2010 FIFA World Cup™ media exposure made a visit to our country so alluring.
Like our own Table Mountain, Israel’s Dead Sea is in the running to become one of the New7Wonders of Nature.
While on the summit of the most beautiful attraction in Cape Town, the 20 girls took time to cast their votes for both the Dead Sea and Table Mountain!
The finalists have been taking part in various activities in and around Cape Town, including visits to Mangwanani Zevenwacht and Franschhoek, and they also enjoyed a luxury yacht trip to Clifton.
Their trip is being filmed for an Israeli television channel and also being covered for a top Israeli magazine. The footage will be flighted to large audiences and publicised as part of the Miss Israel 2011 pageant.
We wish these women all the best in their quest to become the beauty queen of their nation – from one stunner to another!
