Parking illegally at the Cableway: fines, car towing and other things you need to know

We know you're eager to get your Cableway experience underway and you've been struggling to finding a parking space for ages but before you park your car illegally along Tafelberg Road, here are some things to consider:

- Parking fines are hefty: Traffic officials will issue expensive fines of up to R1000 for drivers who have parked their cars illegally along Tafelberg Road. You could be using that money for something more fun, like a cocktail at our Terrace Bar or an ice cold beer on our Lower Viewing Deck. Be smart.

- Illegally parked cars will towed away: You don't want to be that guy or girl who is stuck without your car because its wheels have been clamped or it's been towed away and is currently gathering dust at the traffic department.

- Release fees will hit your bank account hard: Think it won't cost you an arm and a leg to save your car from the pound? Think again! Release fees can cost as much as R 1800 and then we're not even talking about all of the paperwork involved!

Remember, parking is limited at the Cableway, especially during the peak season. Save yourself the legal hassles and the extra cash by using our free park and ride shuttle service from Lower Tafelberg Road. It's the right thing to do!

The Cableway operates daily, weather permitting. Check on our weather and operational statuses by visiting our homepage, calling our weather line +27(0)21 424 8181 or sending an email to info@tablemountain.net.
