#SALockdown level 4: hiking up Table Mountain – what you need to know

Hiking up and walking along the slopes of Table Mountain are not allowed during #SALockdown level 4, in terms of the Disaster Management Act.

Hikers and walkers all over Cape Town were out and about between 6am and 9am on Friday 1 May 2020 to celebrate the move to level 4 of the Covid-19 #SALockdown and the relaxation of exercise restrictions.

We know you may have had your eye on a hike up Table Mountain, our African Wonder of Nature, but unfortunately access to national parks is not permitted at the moment. Have a look at this explanatory statement by our tourism partner, South African National Parks:
