Table Mountain Cableway Set To Hire Up To 150 Seasonal Workers

Table Mountain Cableway is hiring seasonal staff for the peak season, 1 November 2019 to 30 January 2020. Our annual online recruitment drive opens on Monday 17 June 2019.

With opportunities in Food & Beverage, Operations, Security, Cleaning and Retail as well as at the Table Mountain Café and Ticket Office, the Cableway’s Managing Director Wahida Parker says successful applicants will receive valuable on the job training at one of Africa’s most leading tourist attractions through practical and theoretical learning. Where staff display a special aptitude, further learning opportunities will be made available.

“We recognise that the quality, motivation and performance of our employees are key enablers to the Cableway’s success and aim to create beneficial opportunities for those who work for us,” says Parker.

“Seasonal recruitment goes far beyond the job itself. Not only is it a privilege to work at our New 7 Wonder of Nature, it is an opportunity to meet new people, grow, challenge yourself with something new and open the door to a career in the exciting, ever-expanding South African tourism industry. In fact, many of our full-time employees started out as seasonal staff.”

To get a better understanding of each department, what they do, and what they are looking for in potential recruits – watch the video below:

“Delighting visitors requires us to keep our doors open 7 days a week, including public holidays – so come prepared to sacrifice the lure of public holidays and weekends, if you want to be counted amongst those people who go the extra mile to make a difference”, says Parker. All recruits must be available to work seven days a week, including weekends and public holidays. Apply online now. Note that you will need to submit a photo or a video of yourself as part of your application.

“We’ve recently been hailed as one of the leading attractions in Africa. We need the cream of the crop to form part of our organisation. We believe in investing in people and growing skills in our country. We are passionate about the mountain and the visitors we serve and want you to come and join us. This opportunity is limited, so don’t delay in submitting your application,” concludes Parker.

Applications for seasonal recruitment close on 15 July 2019.  For more information, please visit our Recruitment page or call +27(0)21 424 8181.
