A message from our Cableway MD Wahida Parker in light of COVID-19
Following President Ramaphosa’s announcement of the countrywide lock down on Monday 23 March 2020, we will continue to dock our cable cars and suspend our Cableway operations as per our update posted to our website and social media platforms.
We are doing all that we can to assist the nation and the world in flattening the curve of COVID-19 and as always, the safety of you, our visitors, and our staff are our top priority.
Following our initial temporary closure announcement on Wednesday 18 March 2020, those team members who are required to assist visitors with refunds and general queries have been equipped to work remotely and assist you when necessary. There may be a delay in processing refunds and we appreciate your patience in this time.
Let me also take this opportunity to reassure visitors celebrating their birthdays during the lock down, that your free Cableway Birthday Special tickets will be available for collection from our Ticket Office and Visitor Information Centre when we’ve re-opened.
Cable Card holders - we have not forgotten about you. You will have your missed rides credited to your cards.
It’s goodbye for now but we’ll see you soon. We look forward to helping you enjoy your awe-inspiring Cableway experience when we all emerge, stronger together, on the other side of this unprecedented crisis.
