Procedure for virtual Cable Cards

On purchasing a virtual Cable Card, visitors will receive a Text message. This Text message contains a link that you must click on. Once you have clicked on the link, the virtual Cable Card will be displayed on your cellphone.

The virtual Cable Card can be saved to the phone or visitors can print it out if they like. Upon visiting the Cableway, the virtual Cable Card will be scanned from the visitor's phone.

• Get free entrance to the Cableway, valid for one year from date of purchase
• Visit the Cableway as often as you like, limited to one return trip per day, ie. one trip up and one trip down
• Qualify for discounts on selected items at the Shop at the Top and Ten67 Eatery
• Get a subscription to our quarterly e-newsletter
• Standard Cable Card holders need to join the “ticket holders” queue
• Fast Track Cable Card holders access the Cable Cars via our Fast Track pathway

• The Cable Card is available for adults and for children between 4 and 17, and South African pensioners, 60 years and older.
• Purchase your virtual Cable Card online or at the Lower Cable Station between 09:00 and 15:00, Monday to Sunday (including public holidays) at the Visitor Centre
• Don’t forget to bring a valid South African ID (passport, birth certificate, ID book) or a valid passport for non-South Africans.
• Pensioner Cable Card are available to South Africans 60 years and older only (South African ID required).
• Cable card purchases will not be refunded.

• Cable Cards are not transferable. Any Cable Card found in the possession of someone who is not the rightful owner will be confiscated and canceled.
• Cable Cardholders are entitled to one Cable Card per year as the usage of the Cable Card is for the owner only.
• If you’ve hiked up and the Cableway is closed, our normal operating rules apply, and you would have to walk back down.
