#AsktheCableway: why have you switched off the taps in your restrooms?

We’re back to answering your most common questions with our #AsktheCableway blog series.

This week, we’re responding to the question: “Table Mountain Cableway, why have you switched off the taps in your restrooms?”

The short answer is that although Day Zero has been prevented, we’re still mindful that the Western Cape abides by water restrictions and we’re doing our part to contribute to water saving. This means that while our taps have been switched off, we do provide waterless hand santiser in all our restrooms for the use of our Cableway team and visitors.

Should you still wish to rinse your hands, please buy water from our Table Mountain Café, Terrace Bar, Wi-Fi Lounge or Lower Station Kiosk. Please remember to dispose of the plastic water bottles responsibly, using any of our recycling bins provided at the Lower and Upper Cable Stations.
