The Cableway has celebrated Table Mountain’s five-year anniversary as a New7Wonder of Nature with invited guests and Igers.

On Friday 11 November 2016, we hosted a special #TableMountainN7W instameet at our Lower Cable Station viewing deck, from where guests could enjoy the views of the city and its surrounds.

Guests arrived in high spirits, and good conversation, wine and finger foods abounded . Before sunset, the group gathered to watch flashbacks to the N7W campaign and enjoyed the speeches. Our managing director, Wahida Parker, welcomed everyone to the Cableway and spoke of her admiration for former MD Sabine Lehmann.

Lehmann, the City of Cape Town’s Theuns Vivien, Cableway board member Frans Stroebel and marketing manager Collette van Aswegen all fondly reflected on the N7W campaign process.

Finally, we raised a celebratory glass and the Igers headed off to get their winning sunset pictures – there was a prize for the best #TableMountainN7W shot posted before 8pm.
