We are excited to announce that our annual Take a Hike Day is scheduled to take place Monday, 17 November 2025! Table Mountain Aerial Cableway (TMACC) and Table Mountain National Park/SANParks are inviting all nature lovers to join us for a special mountain clean-up hike.

Whether you are a seasoned hiker or simply someone who loves the outdoor adventure, this is your chance to make a real impact while enjoying the breathtaking beauty of Table Mountain. Hikers are encouraged to collect litter along the trails to support ongoing conservation efforts and help preserve this New 7 Wonder of Nature.

Event Details

Date: Monday, 17 November 2025

Check-in: 06h00 – 08h00  (for pre-registered participants)

Starting Points:

• Platteklip Gorge Trail
• Lower Station Contour Path (experienced hikers only)
• Kloof Corner

Finish: Twelve Apostles Terrace (below the Shop at the Top and TEN67 Eatery)

Trash hand-ins close: 14h00 

How It Works

1. Check in at your chosen starting point between 06h00 and 08h00  to collect your bin bag, water, and wristband.
2. Pick up litter along your route and hand it in at the top to receive a snack pack and a free Cableway ride down.
3. Prefer a different route? No problem! Bring your own bag and join the clean-up effort wherever you are.
4. Don’t forget your gloves and litter pickers
