Our first Charity Golf Day, held on Friday, 8 November 2024 at Atlantic Beach Golf Estate, raised a total of R300,000 for the Volunteer Wildfire Services (VWS) and Wilderness Search and Rescue (WSAR). The funds were generated through four-ball entries, hole sponsorships, and a successful auction.

In addition, we also pledged R97,500 worth of Cable Cards to WSAR to allow their members easy access to the mountain at any time.

Claire Lötter, CEO of VWS, shared her gratitude "We are incredibly grateful for the generous support from TMACC and everyone who participated. This donation will help us continue our important work in protecting the mountain and the surrounding communities, especially during fire season."

David Nel, Spokesperson for WSAR, added "The contribution from TMACC, alongside the cable car access pledge, will significantly enhance our ability to conduct rescue missions safely and efficiently. Thank you to everyone who supported this initiative."

Wilderness Search and Rescue

Selma Hercules, Executive Director of TMACC, shared the following “We are proud to support these vital organisations, each playing a unique and essential role in safeguarding our New 7 Wonder of Nature, Table Mountain. VWS help preserve the mountain itself, while WSAR ensures the safety and wellbeing of its visitors. This golf day was our way of giving back and showing our appreciation for their tireless efforts.”

A sincere thank you to all the participants, sponsors, and supporters who helped make this event a success.
