Table Mountain Aerial Cableway will be closed for annual maintenance from Monday, 27 July – Sunday, 9 August 2026.

Hikers and climbers will still be able to enjoy the various hiking routes during this period. However, no cable car trips will be available, so visitors are advised to be mindful of weather conditions when planning a hike.

South Africans celebrating birthday during this annual maintenance period can still redeem their free Cableway during their birthday month, as usual, outside of this period.

The Cableway will re-open, weather permitting, on Monday, 10 August 2026.
