Table Mountain Cableway celebrates the legacy of VetKat Regopstaan Kruiper
At Table Mountain Aerial Cableway, we celebrate the legacy of VetKat Regopstaan Kruiper by honouring heritage and creating meaningful economic and cultural opportunities for its custodians.
On Thursday, 5 February 2026, we opened an exhibition that honours the life and work of the late VetKat Regopstaan Kruiper, widely recognised as a Living National Treasure. We would like to invite visitors to connect with living culture, storytelling and history at the top of the mountain. Led by his partner Belinda Kruiper through the VetKat Art Foundation, this Khoisan Heritage Art & Culture project shows how cultural heritage can be preserved while creating economic opportunity.

Presented in partnership with Siyakha Consulting, the exhibition reflects our commitment to responsible tourism, cultural inclusion and heritage preservation, with VetKat’s pen, ink and felt-tip artworks expressing ancient Khoisan knowledge and spirituality in a contemporary way.

“When visitors experience art like VetKat’s on Table Mountain, they are engaging with the mountain not just as a destination, but as a place of memory, meaning and living culture’’, said Wahida Parker, Managing Director of TMAAC.
The exhibition is on display at VIEWS by De Grendel at the Top Station until 15 February 2026, daily from 08h00 to 19h00.
