Table Mountain nominated as Africa’s Leading Tourist Attraction 2026
We are proud to announce that Table Mountain has been nominated as Africa’s Leading Tourist Attraction at the prestigious World Travel Awards 2026.
These awards celebrate the best in travel, and we are honoured to be recognised once again. Over the years, Table Mountain has won this title five times (2014, 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022), and we would love to bring it home again for Cape Town.
Widely regarded as the travel industry’s equivalent of the Oscars, the World Travel Awards recognise excellence across global tourism and hospitality. Voting for the 2026 awards opened on 30 March 2026 and closes on 17 July 2026.
“This nomination is a proud moment for Cape Town and South Africa as a whole. Table Mountain is more than a landmark. It is a symbol of our natural heritage and a world-class attraction that continues to inspire visitors from across the globe. Every vote is an opportunity to show the world what this destination means to us.” said Wahida Parker, Managing Director of Table Mountain Aerial Cableway.
We invite you to support us by casting your vote www.worldtravelawards.com/vote Simply select the Africa region and choose Table Mountain as Africa’s Leading Tourist Attraction.
Let us help bring the award back to Cape Town!
