Take a Hike Day 2025 brought together 188 hikers who shared one mission: to help keep Table Mountain clean, protected, and loved by all who visit. 

Most of our participants climbed the iconic Platteklip Gorge, while others chose Kloof Corner and the Lower Station Contour Path as part of this important clean-up initiative. Together, hikers removed 39.15 kg of waste from the mountain, a direct and meaningful contribution to preserving one of the world’s most visited natural landmarks.

“Tourism numbers are picking up, and with more visitors comes a greater responsibility to protect this mountain, one of the New7Wonders of Nature. Just as we have clean-ups for our beaches, we believe the mountain deserves the same care because the entire ecosystem depends on it. We are proud to partner with South African National Parks and Table Mountain National Park to help raise awareness and inspire more people to play their part.” Said Wahida Parker, Managing Director of TMACC.
