This year’s annual maintenance Shutdown takes place from 25 July until 28 August 2022.

What happens to visitors who celebrate their birthdays during this period, you may ask?

Here’s what to know about your free birthday pass:

- July birthday babies who have not yet had the opportunity to collect and redeem their birthday ticket before our shutdown, will still be able to do so upon the Cableway’s re-opening. The July birthday ticket(collected after re-opening) will be valid until 30 September 2022 for use.

- August birthday babies can collect their birthday tickets upon re-opening and will have until the 30th September to use their birthday tickets.

- September birthday babies can only collect and use their birthday tickets in September.

The free birthday ticket is only on offer to South African citizens who are in possession of a valid South African Identity document or South African Drivers License.

The original document, copies, screenshots and certified copies are accepted at either the ticket office or from the Visitor’s Centre.
