World Day for Safety and Health at Work

  Return to blog

Observed on April 28th each year, the World Day for Safety and Health at Work aims to promote a safe and healthy work environment. It is an opportunity to raise awareness about occupational safety and health issues.

This day serves as an opportunity to highlight the importance of preventing work-related accidents, injuries, and diseases. It also emphasizes the need for effective strategies and policies to ensure the well-being of workers in all types of workplaces.

This year’s theme of World Day for Safety and Health at Work, climate change and safety and health, encourages employers and workers to take action to improve workplace safety standards, implement risk prevention measures, and provide adequate training and resources to promote a culture of safety, especially as climate change intensifies.

Table Mountain Aerial Cableway has had OHSAS certification since 2011 and is audited annually by South African Bureau of Standards.
