Are you planning a trip up Table Mountain with the Cableway this coming winter? Make sure to mark your calendars with our annual maintenance closure dates!

Table Mountain Cableway will close for annual maintenance from Monday, 28 July – Sunday, 3 August 2025. We will re-open, weather permitting, on Monday, 4 August 2025.

You can still collect and use your free birthday special ticket: If your birthday fall within our 2025 annual maintenance period, you can collect your birthday tickets during the month of your birthday, excluding our annual maintenance period 28 July - 3 August 2025. Please bring along your valid SA ID document, driver’s licence or birth certificate (inclusive of an SA ID number).

You may hike up and down Table Mountain: Please remember that the cable cars and all of our facilities, including our restrooms, eateries and shops will not be open during this time. Please hike with a registered guide and follow these safety guidelines.
