Cableway shortlisted for the 2019 African Responsible Tourism Awards!
It's with great pleasure and excitement that we announce that the Cableway has been shortlisted for the 2019 African Responsible Tourism Awards!
We're fully committed to responsible tourism with our funding of the Kuyasa Housing Project to offset our carbon omissions, our water-saving measures, and our continued support of local suppliers. We entered both the Water Management and Waste Management categories of the African Responsible Tourism Awards and are excited to have made it this far in the nomination process.
We will be competing against tourism heavyweights like Grootbos Private Nature Reserve, the Two Oceans Aquarium, the !Khwa ttu San Culture and Education Centre, to name just a few! we're looking forward to the awards ceremony to be held at the World Travel Market Africa event on Wednesday 10 April 2019.
Our Cableway MD, Wahida Parker, is estatic at our nomination news:
"Table Mountain is world renowned as one of the New 7 Wonders of Nature. For Table Mountain Cableway to be selected as a finalist is recognition by the industry and the world of how seriously we take our custodianship in preserving the mountain and the environment "
