Mr Monopoly visits the Cableway ahead of some game-changing news
Social media feeds were buzzing last week with the news that Mr Monopoly, iconic character of the beloved family board game, took a tour of the Table Mountain Aerial Cableway and its Cape Town Big 7 partners in late October 2015. We can confirm that he did, indeed, take in the spectacular views of the Mother City from the summit of Table Mountain.
Our team members were delighted to have the famous Monopoly figurehead board the cable car, show him around at the top, and stop to take a photo or two with him.
Mr Monopoly’s Cape Town tour also saw him pop by our Cape Town Big 7 partners, Robben Island Museum, Cape Point, City Walk, Kirstenbosch, Groot Constant and the V&A Waterfront – a true Mother City sightseeing experience.
News that Cape Town will be getting its own version of the board game created major hype, and Capetonians were encouraged to submit what they'd like to see on the board.
With the big reveal of the Cape Town Monopoly board to be held this Friday,13 November 2015, at the V&A Waterfront, could there be game-changing news for the Cableway too? Do check back here or follow us on Facebook and Twitter for updates!
