WDC2014: How Table Mountain fits in

The first in a series of bright yellow interactive photo frames which showcase Table Mountain

Cape Town has been named World Design Capital 2014, a title that will provide an opportunity to showcase 450 projects that have been officially recognised and which will form part of this year’s programme.

Our 2.8m tall by 4m wide frames, produced by local artist Porky Hefer, to celebrate Table Mountain being named one of the New7Wonders of Nature, is an interactive artwork and an official World Design Capital 2014 project.

The bright yellow frames are also a fun way of taking a great photo during your time in Cape Town, and the one at the V&A Waterfront is very popular. Be part of the fun and submit your yellow-framed pictures, which will be considered for publication on our slide show.

Watch the Carte Blanche insert for more about the World Design Capital, and the Table Mountain frames.

You’ll also find another frame at the top of Signal Hill, and at Eden on the Bay, and we will erect more frames around Cape Town over the next few months.
