#WonderOfLove competition winner: Suné van Dyk

#WonderOfLove competition winner: Suné van Dyk

“Every time I look at the ring, I will not only see the 27 diamonds and the beautiful shape, but I will also see what it represents.

“It represents Cape Town, the place that I call home. It represents a time where I took the courage to step out of my comfort zone and sign up for a competition. Lastly, it represents love because it was the first time my loved one was on Table Mountain,” she said.

In the winning #WonderOfLove photo, Suné was pictured with her boyfriend of two years, Dian Oosthuizen.

Our four weekly winners

Suné was not the only winner in the Month of Love! In collaboration with Shimansky jewellers, we announced four lucky weekly winners who each walked away with a sterling silver Shimansky Table Mountain ring.

How did they win? Simple! Each entrant posted a photo depicting love on Table Mountain, and used the hashtags #WonderOfLove and #TableMountainShimansky in their photo caption. They also liked and/or followed both the Table Mountain and Shimansky Instagram accounts and/or Facebook accounts.

Our most recent weekly winner, Kashmiri Beesham, is a regular Cableway rider and was excited to find out that she will receive a delicate sterling silver Shimansky Table Mountain ring – a memento of one of her favourite places in Cape Town.

“I love going up Table Mountain because the views are spectacular, and it provides a safe haven for hiking and exploring. It is also an ideal spot for an afternoon tea, with delicious treats like the apple crumble and milk tart, which are my favourites,” said Kashmiri.

Week three winner Mansoor Narker also feels strongly about Table Mountain: “Its natural beauty with extraordinary 360-degree beautiful vistas is so special. With so many activities like sightseeing, climbing, abseiling and hiking, it is truly a mountain for all to explore and enjoy. Table Mountain, as a born Capetonian, is my COMPASS!”
