Wheelchair access

Accessibility for our wheelchair-bound visitors is top of mind at the Cableway with our easy-to-use wheelchair route map, ramps and elevators at the Lower Cable Station and paved pathways at the summit of Table Mountain, our African Wonder of Nature.

Where to park:

Show your disabled parking tag on arrival at the Lower Cable Station and our green team members will direct you to our dedicated disabled parking bays.

How to access the cable cars:

If you don’t have Cableway tickets our staff will first direct you to the Ticket Office where wheelchair–bound visitors are given priority access to purchase tickets, and then they are directed to the lifts that take visitors to the departure area of the cable cars.
Wheelchair-bound visitors who have Cableway tickets are immediately directed to the lifts at the Lower Station.

How to explore the top of Table Mountain:

Use the wheelchair route map to access pathways that are accessible to wheelchairs.

Access to our Café and WiFi Lounge:

Don’t miss your meal with a view at the top of Table Mountain! Our Café is equipped with wheelchair friendly ramps and there is a special elevator at the Upper Cable Station, which provides wheelchair access to our WiFi Lounge.
